About Denise Williams

Denise Williams joined FIS in 2016 as executive vice president and Chief People Officer. A seasoned HR executive with more than 25 years of experience, she works with the executive team to drive the company’s people agenda.

Prior to joining FIS in 2016, Denise spent 15 years leading global human resources teams at IBM including as Vice President of Human Resources IBM North America (110,000 employees). Before IBM, Denise held human resources roles at Alliance Bernstein, First Data, Avis and Coopers & Lybrand.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany and is an active member of the Human Resources Policy Association, the Center on Executive Compensation, and other organizations.

In 2021, Denise received several industry recognitions including Business Insider’s list of most innovative HR leaders focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), HRO Today’s 2021 CHRO of the Year Award, Lifetime Achievement and the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 2021 Women of Influence Award.
On a personal note, Denise is a certified interior designer, and co-designed and selected the interior finishes for the new FIS Global Headquarters opening in Jacksonville in 2022.
